Experienced Product Builder
I have been managing and leading development and product teams for a number of years. This has included building many projects from scratch and I have learned how to launch products quickly (that can scale if they need to).
For MVP development, I manage the entire process of bringing your product vision to life. I work with a cross-functional team of contractor experts—developers, designers, product managers—tailored to your specific needs.
In the early days, you should not be spending multiple months (and tens or hundreds of thousands of dollars) on building the first version that customers can use.
A small, experienced, and expert team can ensure your product’s first version delivers its core functionality in a clean, simple, and modern app with the ability to grow and scale easily later.
Who is it for?
- Early stage companies that are pre-development and need a first version of their product
- Scaling companies that need to move from the first version of their product to an improved technology stack
- Large companies that want to outsource the development of a new service or product in a rapid development cycle
What you can expect
1. Tight Scope
The key to it all is to nail down the exact scope of your project, by focusing very tightly on the unique value of the product.
This often means leaving out some bells and whistles from v1, and focusing on getting a product customers will pay for from Day 1.
2. Technology Stack
We leverage the robust and battle-tested Laravel stack, which allows for rapidly creating SaaS and web apps.
Laravel can scale way past the needs of 99% of projects, and is a great choice for longevity as well as initial development.
3. Speed
We aim to finish an MVP in 4-6 weeks from starting the scope definition being locked in.
We aim to keep everything on time, with no bloat, and communicate progress clearly and effectively.
Core functionality, high quality
I will work with you to help define and hone in on the key functionality that will allow you to test your product with real customers.
What we produce will be rapidly developed, but of high quality and isn't throwaway effort.
Years of development has meant my small team can avoid reinventing the wheel on each project and focus on the unique project functionality.
FAQs
You have a few options as to how you can proceed from this point:
- Keep it Running
- The lowest-cost retainer to monitor the app and a small amount of dev time to deal with any bugs if/when they arise.
- Enhance
- If you want to keep adding features, or iterate based on customer feedback, we can prioritise this work through a development retainer.
- Pause
- Sometimes you need to take a puase while you figure out next steps. We can standby and be available for when you're ready to go again.
- Hand-off
- Hired your own in-house team? We will make sure that a smooth hand-off takes place and explain all technical aspects of the build so your new team can own the codebase moving forward.
- Laravel
- Livewire and FilamentPHP
- TailwindCSS
- DigitalOcean / Hetzner for infrastructure
- Laravel Forge for server management
We will still aim to have an MVP built in 4-6 weeks, and discuss upfront what the potential extensions to the project would look like after that.
Occasionally, for more complex interfaces. However, with our process, we are more efficiently able to build functional UI's directly with our tooling.
Yes, for 30 days after the finished and delivered MVP, we will fix any bugs that are identified on the features we have built.
The code is fully owned by you, as well as the repository, database, and servers.
Yes, we also offer marketing site design services, including simple 1-page static marketing sites. This can be added as an extension to our project.
